Mrs. Deborah Evans-Mathis of 2230 Walden Drive, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 12 p.m. today, at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Larry Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mathis, a native of Augusta, was a home health-care worker and a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was a member of E.L. Wells Usher Board and the Voices of Bethel.
Survivors include her husband, John B. Mathis; three daughters, Erica N. Stokes, Chandra D. Stokes and Shannon A. Mathis, all of Augusta; her mother, Martha Curry, Evans; three brothers, Ronald L. Evans, Atlanta, Merrell A. Evans, Fort Riley, Kan., and Eric R. Evans, Augusta; four sisters, Jacqueline Evans Robinson, Karen Evans Dean and Cheryl L. Evans, all of Augusta, and Barbara Evans Collins, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Sparks, Gary Benjamin, Darryl Blocker, Joe Collins, Michael Evans and Kenneth Haythe.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the E. L. Wells Usher Board and the Voices of Bethel.
