MILLEN, Ga. -- Ms. Melissa A. Coney, 32, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bernard Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Belcher Cemetery.
Ms. Coney, a native of Augusta, was trained as a nursing assistant at Swainsboro Technical Institute. She was a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the adult choir.
Survivors include a son, Dewayne Jamar Coney, Millen; two daughters, Turquoise Raquel Coney and Mary Shavonne Coney, both of Millen; her mother and stepfather, Mary A. Lambert and John D. Lambert, both of Tamarac, Fla.; two brothers, Lamar Coney and Chris Coney, both of Millen; and her grandmother, Emma Coney, Millen.
Pallbearers will be her uncles.
The family will receive friends at noon today at Dwight's Funeral Home.
