Mr. Pierce Humphrey



LOUISVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Pierce B. Humphrey, 84, of 1132 Georgia Highway 24 E., died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Louisville First Baptist Church with the Revs. Freddie Williford and Larry Glover officiating. Burial will be in Davisboro City Cemetery.

Mr. Humphrey, a native of Washington County, had retired as a farmer and a parts manager at Henderson Chevrolet. He was a member of Louisville First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a member of Ahezia Sunday School Class. He was a former member of Humphrey Family Singers and a member of Woodmen of the World.

The family said, "he was an avid musician, and music was a part of his life."

Survivors include his wife, Marjie Davis Humphrey; and a sister, Betty Humphrey, Sandersville.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Louisville First Baptist Church and members of Ahezia Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Johnson-Grier Funeral Home.
