Mr. William E. Hill, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with Father Robert Girardeau and Miguel officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Hill, a native of Jellico, Tenn., had retired as a command sergeant major from the Army. A veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, he was a member of Disabled American Vets and St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
The family said he was a loving husband and father who served his country proudly.
Survivors include his wife, Hannelore Glockner Hill; two sons, Robert J. Hill, Roanoke, Va., and Gary A. Hill, Evans; a brother, Lloyd Hill, Knoxville, Tenn.; four sisters, Ella Partin, Mary Roberts and Bonnie Hall, all of Cleveland, Tenn., and Ruth Arnold, Jellico; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the military.
