Blasts student's letter on school issue 102598 - The Augusta Chronicle

I understand why A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School's test scores went down. It was proven by a senior, Natasha M. Golden, of Hephzibah, in her letter of Oct. 4.

The writer stated, "Johnson's parents are surgeons, physicians, judges, politicians, engineers, lawyers and college deans. Johnson has the largest free lunch program in the Central Savannah River Area." If all of Johnson's parents were all of that, why does Johnson have the largest free lunch program?

Since Ms. Golden has so much time on her hands to gather inadequate, unjustified information, she should have had time to take her letter to her English teacher to present her information in a justified, adequate way.

I am sick and tired of overpaid, semi-educated, down right foolish parents, and now children, yelling and screaming about their rights. Superintendent Dr. Charles Larke has made a decision and it will not change whether they like it or not. Deal with it. Welcome to the real world!
