WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. John E. "Jack" Allen, 61, of 505 Fourth St., died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Carter Berkeley, Tommy McCook and Henry Erwin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Allen, a native of Burke County, had retired from Sunbeam Industries. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Chancel Choir, the Brinson-Coleman Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Men's Club. He was a former member of the Waynesboro Lions Club.
Survivors include his mother, Billie S. Edenfield; a brother, Frank B. Allen, Seoul, South Korea; and a sister, Alice L. Montgomery, San Diego.
Pallbearers will be Gene Redd, Ted Davis, Johnny Jenkins, Frank Graham, Manton Horton Jr. and John Sloop.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sunday school class and the chancel choir.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
