TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Nine of 10 Florida State players, including quarterback Chris Weinke, who missed a previous practice session due to an intestinal virus returned to practice Wednesday, coach Bobby Bowden said.
Freshman offensive lineman Brett Williams was the only player still too sick to practice.
Weinke and several offensive linemen missed practice Tuesday because of the illness. Team officials said the players might have caught the virus during Saturday's 62-13 victory over Duke. Several Duke players complained of sickness during that game.
"We tried to combine a Wednesday and Tuesday practice" on Wednesday, Bowden said. "Most of the guys that were sick got through it, but struggled."
No. 10 Florida State (2-1) plays host to No. 18 Southern California (3-0) Saturday.
