Mrs. Emma Rosa Houston, 88, of 1412 Sunset Ave., died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Mount Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Andrew Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Houston, a native of Wilkes County, had retired from Helena Rubenstein Co. She was a member of First Mount Moriah Baptist Church, where she was a member of the deaconess board, the Missionary Society, and served as mother of the church and assistant superintendent of the Sunday school.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Barnes, Augusta, and Debra Wilson, Columbia; five brothers, Joe Curry, Aiken, Johnny Curry, Athens, Ga., Oris Curry, Detroit, Edward Stephens, Manning, S.C., and Tommy Stephens, New York; and 18 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and trustees of First Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
