HARLEM -- Mr. Wayne Warren Daves Sr., of 911 Old Louisville Road, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, in Eastman.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Powell Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.
Mr. Daves, a native of Franklin, N.C., had retired as a mechanic from civil service and the Columbia County School System. He was a member of Powell Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a member of the Adult Mens Class. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served on the Military Police. Mr. Daves was a member of the American Federation of Government Employees.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Warren Daves Jr., Harlem; two daughters, Dianne Knox, Appling, and Brenda Gay, Easley, S.C.; one sister, Faye Cash, Maysville; and four grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and members of Adult Mens Sunday School Class of Powell Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Starling Funeral Home.
