NORTH AUGUSTA -- Mrs. Marvelly Brooks, 65, of 414 Shadow Lane, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maranatha Christian Center, Augusta, with the Revs. Charles Rosson and Cesar Brooks officiating. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Brooks, a native of Jinotega, Nicaragua, had lived in Augusta since 1996, and had been a longtime Los Angeles resident. She was director of the Children's Mission Thrift Store in Augusta, whose proceeds benefit an orphanage in Jinotega. Through her work at the store, she was active in the Peach Program, a work force re-entry training program. She was a member of Maranatha Christian Center.
Survivors include two sons, Cesar Brooks, Augusta, and Brant Brooks, Supresa, Calif.; two daughters, Rosemary Williams, Temple City, Calif., and Marcie Sweeney, North Augusta; a brother, Loving Taylor, Hurricane, Utah; a sister, Rosa Glass, Hurricane, Utah; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Maranatha Christian Center.
