WILLISTON, S.C. -- Mr. J. Gerald Delk, 81, of Clemson Street, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998, at Baptist Hospital, Columbia.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elko Baptist Church, Elko, with the Revs. Rick Wade, Billy Mew and Larry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Williston Cemetery.
Mr. Delk, a native of Barnwell County, had retired from Mill-Rite as a machinist, and had been a foreman at the Singer Manufacturing Co., Pickens. He was a life member of the Kewee Masonic Lodge 79, Pickens. He was a member and deacon of Elko Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Mae Nix Delk; a brother, Jack Delk, Summerville; and a sister, Norma Lee Mew, Blackville.
