Mr. Ben Williford

Mr. Ben Williford, 71, of 1938 Satcher Blvd., died Friday, Sept. 5, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road, with the Revs. Charles Whisnant and Marion Jay officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Williford, a native of Glascock County, had retired from Colonial Bakery and had worked for Williford Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. He was a member, deacon and church board member of Freedom Fellowship Assembly Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nell Brassell Williford; three sons, Billy Williford, Keith Williford and Don Williford, all of Augusta; a daughter, Marchelle W. Ramos, Augusta; two sisters, Ethel Norton and Virginia Gay, both of Wrens, Ga.; and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be William Williford, Nathan Williford, Blake Williford, Brandon Williford Busby, Ray Story and Earl Collins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
