BRISBANE, Calif. -- Mr. Zenas Ball Andrews, 82, of 480 Monterey St., died Monday, Aug. 24, 1998.
A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church, San Francisco. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
Mr. Andrews, a native of Cleveland, was a Navy veteran of World War II, where he served as an engineer, had received the Bronze Star, Four Star Submarine Combat Pin and the U.S. Service Medal. He had retired with the rank of commander. He held several patents in structural design of Naval planes and ships. He was a member of the Magnolia Rebel Chapter, the Submarine Veterans of World War II, the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, Rotary Club and the Singing River Yacht Club. He was a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, and a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
His family said he will be greatly missed and happily remembered by all who knew him. He served his country and community with great pride.
Survivors include three daughters, Meredith Alexandra Andrews, Berkeley, Alison Andrews Wilson, Brisbane, and Muriel Heather Henry, North Augusta; two sisters, Isabel Burgess and Jane Hughes, both of Cleveland; and eight grandchildren.
Duggan's Serra Mortuary, Daly City, is in charge of arrangements.
