On the move: Maskey named director



Melissa Maskey has been named director of client relations for Corporate Works Inc., a locally based company specializing in business development, market planning and personality profiling services.

Craig R. Jones is the new head of Upper School at Augusta Preparatory Day School, and Cameron Christian also has been promoted to director of public information.

David Maxwell of Augusta Comfort Inn has been promoted to general manager.

Dorothy Coleman has been promoted to the position of office manager at AdMasters Inc.

Sharon Boyd has joined the staff of Norrell Staffings Services in Augusta as a staffing specialist.

Elliot, Davis and Company, L.L.P. has promoted the following people in Augusta: Charles Johnson to information technology manager; Nancy Higgins to medical practice group manager; and Diane Martin to medical practice group specialist.

Hugh Fulcher, Hephzibah, was sworn in as a supervisor in Brier Creek soil and Water Conservation District. He will represent Richmond County in determining priorities for giving federal technical assistances from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service to farmers and landowners in the Brier Creek District.

J. Randal Hall and Robert A. Mullins, a former partner of the law firm Hull Towill, Norman & Barrett, P.C., have formed Hall & Mullins, P.C.

Jack F. Montgomery, human resource generalist, Solutia Inc. (formerly Monsanto Co.), Greenwood, S.C., has been named as the recipient of the 1998 George D. Heaton Award. The award, presented by the Blue Ridge Conference on Leadership, honors industry leaders for their accomplishments and examples in human relations.

David L. Moretz, of Sherman & Hemstreet Inc., has achieved the Specialist, Industrial and Office Real Estate designation awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, an international association of professional commercial real estate brokers.

Roy Scarborough, accepted an award on behalf of Roy Scarborough and Associates for outstanding performance, presented by Bituminous Insurance Companies, Rock Island, Ill. The program awards achievements for premium volume, quality and professionalism.

Scott Williams, an agent with Prudential's Augusta Detached Agency, was selected to attend the company's National Business Conference in Orlando, Fla. in July. Mr. Williams is one of a select number of top performing sales agents in Prudential's 700-plus agencies across the country to qualify to attend the annual conference.

Shawn Amerson received her CPA certificate in May. Ms. Amerson is an in-charge senior auditor for Serotta, Maddocks, Evans & Co.

John P. Gillion Jr., registered investor adviser and partner in the CPA firm of Biard & Co., recently attended the Advanced Estate Planning Conference in Toronto, sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. George D. Meinhold, also on staff, recently attended a University of Georgia Woodland Security Course sponsored by the Timber Security Committee of the Georgia Forestry Association.
