Business briefs: Visitors Bureau wins award for new logo

The Augusta Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau's new logo and promotional materials were awarded Best Collateral Materials at the Georgia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus annual meeting from Aug. 5 to Aug. 7 in Marietta.

In attendance were executive director, Barry White; director of sales, Julie Brakenbury; and director of communications, Rebecca Rogers.

The annual competition is designed to recognize and reward Georgia's Convention and Visitors Bureau for creative excellence and effectiveness in marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns.

-- Dayco Products Inc., a division of Mark IV Industries Inc., located in Williston, S.C., celebrated two major milestones July 29: the facility's achievement of 1 million "no lost-time hours" and the winning of the prestigious Chrysler Gold Pentastar Award for the third year in a row.
