UPPER DARBY, Pa. -- Mrs. Nell B. Scott Jones, 70, of 114 Powell Lane, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at Mercy Wellness Hospital.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, at St. John Episcopal Church, Bala Cynwyd, with the Rev. Lois A. Reardin officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall.
Mrs. Jones, a native of Aiken, had retired as a domestic and child care worker, prior to which she had worked as a nurse at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She received her early education at Pleasant Hill School, Aiken, and was a member of St. John Episcopal Church.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Jones and Timothy Jones, both of Upper Darby, and Michael Jones, N.J.; a daughter, Sandra Jones, Upper Darby; her mother, Ada Bell Scott, Aiken; five brothers, Rayford Scott, Bryn Mawr, Harold Scott, Springfield, N.Y., George Scott, Irmo, S.C., and Alexander Scott and William Scott, both of Bridgeton, N.J.; six sisters, Willie Mae Fitzgerald, Bryn Mawr, Geraldine Warner, Media, Christine Priester, Aiken, Naomi Lockamy and Annie Mae Dawson, both of Vineland, N.J., and Betty J. Corley, Anchorage, Alaska; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence of her mother, 213 Cherokee St. S.E., Aiken.
Welsh Funeral Service, Philadelphia, was in charge of arrangements.
Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, Aiken, is in charge of local arrangements.
