AIKEN -- Mr. Lawrine Brown, 82, of 242 Williamsburg St. N.E., died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Williston, with the Revs. Joe F. Singleton and Essro O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Brown, a native of Barnwell County, had retired from the Savannah River Plant. He was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as secretary and superintendent of Sunday School. He also was a member of the gospel chorus and the James Bing Note Singers. Mr. Brown was treasurer of The Strom Branch Association. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lurrania Brown; three brothers, Clarence Brown, Williston, Charlie Brown and Marvin Brown, both of Aiken; and two sisters, Janie Williams and Cora Wimberly, both of Williston.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Brown, Clinton Brown, Kevin Wimberly, Travis Wimberly, Freddie Bush, Howard Bush, Horace Bush and Nichlos Armstrong.
Friends may call at the residence or from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Simmons Funeral Home, Williston.
