FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Mr. Michael Clyde Moore, 51, of 7573 Jennings Lane, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Westover Memorial Park, Augusta.
Mr. Moore, a native of Memphis, Tenn., was a former professor of sociology, bereavement counseling and psychology at Augusta College, Paine College and the Medical College of Georgia. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity, the American Sociology Society and the Mid-South Sociological Society. He was a summa cum laude graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and was a member of the Red Springs Recreation Committee and Red Springs Presbyterian Choir.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Jarrell Moore; one son, Daniel Dotter, Monroe, La.; one daughter, Samantha Anna Moore, Chesterville, Va.; his father, Clyde Moore, Houma, La.; and two sisters, Dorothy DeArmond and Peggy Hatch, both of Baton Rouge, La.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road.
