GRANITEVILLE -- Mr. King David Johnson III, 27, of Route 1, Box 102 Old Cherokee Indian Road, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, in Aiken County.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at New Covenant Church, Augusta, with the Rev. Walter Kearse officiating. Burial will be in Jeter Baptist Church, Edgefield.
Mr. Johnson, a native of Augusta, was an Avondale Mill employee and a member of Jeter Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Tesean McGaney, Augusta; his father, King David Johnson Jr., Aiken; his mother, Mary Frances Hightower, Augusta; one brother, Aaron M. Johnson, Aiken; three sisters, Samantha Johnson and Pam Alicia Johnson, both of Clearwater, and Kim Johnson, Augusta; and three step-brothers, Antonio Gartrell, North Augusta, Lydell Walker, Augusta, and James Corey Walker, Aiken.
Pallbearers will be Perry Brown, Lydell Walker, Ricki Jones, Dana Leverette, Antonio Gartrell and John Hill.
Friends may call at the residence of King David Johnson Jr., 176 Glass Rope Lane, Aiken, or Samantha Johnson, 2004 Pine View Circle, Bath.
The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. today at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home.
