Mr. Herman Gartrell

WASHINGTON, Ga. -- Mr. Herman Ellis Gartrell, 67, of 842 Amity Road, died Sunday, July 19, 1998.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zoah Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert Walton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Gartrell, a native of Wilkes County, was a logger and a farmer. He was a member of Zoah Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Gartrell; two sons, Scottie Victor Gartrell, Washington, and Gregory Gartrell, Atlanta; one daughter, Brenda Gartrell, Harrisburg, Pa.; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence.
