WASHINGTON, Ga. -- Mrs. Gwendolyn Jones Baston, 81, of 1072 Danburg Road, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at Wills Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Mosley officiating.
Mrs. Baston, a native of Americus, had retired from Almar Manufacturing Co. as a payroll clerk after 36 years of service. She was a member of the Washington Pilot Club and a member and officer of the Wesleyan Service Guild. She was a member of Washington First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James A. Baston Jr., Washington, and Irving Baston, Bremen; a daughter, Jackie B. Sparks, Simpsonville, S.C.; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Greg Clay, Todd Smith, Ray Starks, Bill Smith, Clarence Nunn and Wayne Poss.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Washington Pilot Club.
Memorials may be made to the Washington First United Methodist Church General Fund or to the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Washington, GA 30673.
