This is in reference to the June 28 letter ... on the Margaret J. Weston Health Center.
The viewpoint expressed is a pointed affront to me. I have never in my 82 years of life been so falsely accused. For 55 years I have been working in the school system and teaching young people to stand up for what is right. I have never supported and will never support any idea, any person or any cause that I feel is wrong. I will not condone nor defend anyone who practices misconduct by either thought or deed -- most particularly those who help themselves to funds that should be strictly used for the medical care of the common man, especially the elderly.
It is quite clear that the author does not know me nor has even heard of me. Anyone who knows me has a clear view of what my principles are. I believe in God, and I do believe that you reap what you sow in this life.
I am a strong believer in the Margaret Weston Center and the ideals for which it stands. I will continue in my beliefs for as long as there is breath in my body!
