Augusta attorney Milton "Mickey" M. Avrett III has been elected to serve a two-year term as the delegate in the South Carolina Bar House of Delegates representing members of the South Carolina Bar whose offices are located out of state.

Richard H. Johnson of Augusta Remodeling & Construction won an award for best marketing program for companies under $1 million in volume and best bath under $10,000 at the fifth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The awards, sponsored by The Southern Building Show and The Lowe's Cos., were presented during the Southern Building Show and Conference in June.

John Eckburg, owner of the Domino's Pizza store on Washington Road, was awarded a Domino's Pizza Silver Franny Award for operational excellence at the company's Worldwide Rally in Las Vegas recently. Mr. Eckburg was one of 31 franchisees, of the company's more than 1,700 store owners to receive the honor.
