Mr. Charles Woody

LINCOLNTON, Ga. -- Mr. Charles Woody, 62, died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, with the Rev. Kenneth Craig officiating.

Mr. Woody, a native of Mount View, Ark., was a quality control inspector for Georgia Power at Plant Vogtle. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Protestant.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Penny" Woody; a son, Charles W. Woody Jr., Martinez; two daughters, Brenda Woody Field, Augusta, and Melissa Woody Wirthlin, Portland, Ore.; three brothers, Greg Woody, Granbury, Texas, David Woody, Balknob, Ark. and Tim Woody, Griffithville, Ark.; six sisters, Shelia Burrows, Danville, Ark., Lenore Craig, Mount View, Ark., Gwen Foster, Rover, Ark., Janet Simmons, Culvert, Mich., Zell Anderson, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Lillis Redd, Russellville, Ark.; and 12 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Curtis Funeral Home.
