LOUISVILLE, Ga. -- Mrs. Gladys Davis-Heggs, 70, of 1892 Oak Grove Road, died Friday, July 3, 1998, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Magnolia Baptist Church with the Revs. Perry Daniels, James Carr, Marcellus Hannah, Kenneth Davis and Larry Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Davis-Heggs, a native of Jefferson County, was a homemaker. She was a missionary and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church, Fair and Honest Society and the Home Mission Society.
The family said she worked faithfully on earth for a seat in her father's kingdom.
Survivors include six sons, Roger Lee Heggs Sr., Wadley, Junior Heggs Jr., Melvin Heggs and Nekel Johnson, all of Louisville, Ernest Heggs, Sandersville, and Roger Heggs Jr., St. Mary's; five daughters, Delores Cobb, Midville, Bessie McGruder, Angela Heggs, Advease Dogan and Sherry D. Smith, all of Louisville; four brothers, Homer Lewis, Miami, and Agmine Davis Jr., Roosevelt Davis and Jesse "Doc" Davis, all of Brunswick; two sisters, Altemese Ponder, Louisville, and Annie Boyd, Brunswick; and 28 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Brown, Agmine Davis III, Isaiah Davis Jr., Kelly Davis, Ronnie Brown and Wayne Darisaw.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and trustees of Magnolia Baptist Church.
