Blasts marina owner for rejecting clubs 062198 - The Augusta Chronicle

Re your June 3 article on Fort Gordon's recreation area in which Pam Bugg complained of the opening of some of the fort's area for public use:

As President of the Clarks Hill Committee, I was told by Ms. Bugg that she did not desire to have our bass clubs, which consist of 600 people (of which we are considered "public people"), to use her marina. She expressed this at our annual Clarks Hill Committee meeting in October of 1996. We had already moved all of our activities six months prior to this meeting to Fort Gordon Recreation Area.

All of our needs have been met at Fort Gordon, and they have worked very well with us in conducting tournaments.

I feel Ms. Bugg is only upset because so many people have moved their activities away from her marina (which was her decision).
