Praises employer for post-tornado aid 052698 - The Augusta Chronicle

There is a misconception that large corporations have no heart. Not so, at least where Kimberly-Clark Corp. is concerned. My son, Kimberly-Clark employee Russell McKie, recently experienced extensive tornado damage to his home in Edgefield County.

Kimberly-Clark not only provided him paid leave, but also contributed a work force of employees for several days to aid in securing the home. Together, with the moral support of our churches, friends and family, daily life has taken on a more positive meaning for all involved.

A big salute, as well, to the Merriwether Fire Department, EP Director Mike Casey, and the law enforcement agencies for their outstanding performance in ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities.
