I am a viewer of South Parkand I think that you are underestimating children's knowledge of "romantic humor" and "political correctness." I don't see how you can ignore the fact that we as youth are constantly exposed to these issues through the media and at school, yet some feel we "can't relate" to them.
The characters on South Park are much like the real-world youth today, but more humorous. There's nothing on South Park we aren't exposed to in our everyday lives.
If you are a parent and agree with this article, it would be beneficial to talk to your children about what they really know.
