Wants Ga. to reinstate prison chaplains 020898 - The Augusta Chronicle

An article in the Feb. 2 Chronicle stated Georgia has a surplus of funds and the legislature is undecided as to what they will do with the money.

I believe that the reinstatement of chaplains to the state prison system should be priority. Chaplains were eliminated as a cost savings a few years ago. I believe chaplains provided a dedicated service in rehabilitation of prison inmates.
