Armstrong Atlantic State's Pirates hope to make the Augusta State Jaguars continue walking the losers' plank when they meet today in a Peach Belt Athletic Conference game.
The contest starts at 4 p.m., at the ASU Athletic Complex, followed by the Lady Jaguars (12-6, 5-5) against Armstrong Atlantic State's women (9-10, 3-6).
The Lady Jaguars (12-6, 5-5) take on the Lady Pirates (9-10, 3-6) following the men's game.
Augusta State (2-17, 0-11) is struggling in the throes of the longest losing streak (11 straight games) in its Division II history.
It's also the second longest losing run in school history -- the first coming over the 1983-85 seasons when the Jags lost 20 straight.
There are bright spots in all the gloom, however.
Senior point guard Jamaal McClain has 114 assists through 19 games and each Augusta State starter is averaging in double figures.
The Pirates bring a 10-9 overall record (they're 5-4 in the conference) into Augusta.
