Ther has been recent concern over the scheduled Feb. 3 execution of Karla Faye Tucker. We learn from news sources that she was convicted in Texas of a brutal murder in 1983. It is said that she has made a public confession of Jesus Christ as Saviour and has made a dramatic change in her behavior. It is said that she is not a threat to society and several Christian leaders advocate a lesser sentence.
Crime is the result of our actions, not our beliefs, and Karla Faye Tucker's beliefs and even good deeds do not change the fact that she committed a brutal murder. She deserves to be executed and God has charged our society with carrying out this mandate.
