If Tmothy Fellows Jr.'s Jan. 16 letter on teachers not teaching was not written tongue and cheek, he has said what I feel are seriously incorrect things. I deal with teachers and their students during the week and I have never once met with one that fits this description.
Mr. Fellows charges teachers have sold out for money. For the job they have to do, the responsibilities they carry and the conditions under which they work, they have indeed sold out, but to the principles of love, dedication and patience.
Mr. Fellows should spend some time in one of the public school classrooms, and not just make a brief visit, before he makes judgmental statements.
