Seeks outrage in wake of violence

There was another shoot-out recently and, according to the authorities, the shell casings found at the scene of the crime(s) are believed to come from an AK-47 assault rifle. I have to wonder where is the public outrage and what do our elected leaders have to say about this and other local violent incidents that have occurred in our community this year alone? Such incidents as gang activity, graffiti, drug related violence, and violence involving assault weapons are all indicators of worse problems to come.

In my opinion we have but two choices: deal with these problems with the available resources and personnel as best we can or continue making and accepting lame and political excuses as to why we can't solve the problems. To our elected officials: It's time to stop talking the talk and walking the walk. And if you are not willing, somebody else is.
