TROY, Mich. (AP) - Pictures of sportscaster Frank Gifford groping a woman in a hotel room are apparently too racy for Kmart.
Kmart Corp. said Friday it's pulling issues of the Globe supermarket tabloid that contains photos of Gifford, saying they are inappropriate.
"Kmart must ensure that the merchandise we carry is not offensive or contrary to the values of a family-oriented store," company spokeswoman Michele Jasukaitis said in a news release.
A Boca Raton, Fla., phone listing for the Globe was disconnected.
Globe editors have said the photos were taken during Gifford's rendezvous this spring in a New York hotel room with a 46-year-old married woman.
Gifford and his wife, talk show host Kathie Lee Gifford, have not denied the authenticity of the fuzzy photos, taken from a videotape, but have asked for privacy.
