HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Augusta GreenJackets, down 6-2 after seven innings, scored nine runs in the final two to beat the Hagerstown Suns 11-6.
Righthander Tedde Campbell, the third Augusta pitcher, worked one inning to pick up his second victory in three starts. Rick Paugh worked the last two, earning his second save.
The Suns were shining up to that point, pretty much dominating the game with Augusta collecting only four hits.
Then came a bizarre eighth inning with Augusta scoring six runs after two were out. Both Morgan Walker and Corey Pointer struck out, but Suns catcher Joshua Phelps allowed both on with a passed ball and an errant throw into the outfield.
Carlos Rivera's double cleared the bases and Tony Robinson doubled home another. The Jackets added three more in the ninth on Walker's home run.
