Above, Michael Hunt, traffic division supervisor with the Aiken Public Safety Department, gives a teddy bear to 9-month-old Lugise Madison of Graniteville.
Bears were given to children if all passengers were wearing their seat belts during a safety check at the Aiken Department of Social Services office.
In two hours, 67 cars were stopped with seven child violations and 22 adult seat belt violations. Only three bears were given away. At right, a bag of bears sits at the DSS office.
