I am greatly pleased to read letters from the vast number of supporters for Dick Wescott - the recently deposed director and leader of the Augusta-Richmond County Museum. He has made a truly enormous contribution to the deprived cultural environment of Augusta.
Who are these people who call themselves the Museum Board? I do not recall ever voting for them, or concurring in their selection. What are their individual contributions? Can we see their names and a brief resume for each in print? Can the public be involved? Is a recall in order?
Finally, thank you Mr. Wescott, for a job well done.
David W. Christensen, Augusta
(Editor's note: There are 17 museum trustees serving staggered terms. New trustees are selected by other board members and are approved by the full board.)
