Screven's Audrell Grace, who scored from 6 yards out, was held to just 78 yards in 21 carries. The two-point conversion run failed.

STATESBORO, Ga. - There was just no keeping up with the Jones boy - Lavon Jones of Statesboro, that is.
The junior tailback ran for 229 yards on 22 carries and four touchdowns as the Blue Devils swamped Effingham County.
Jones started the landslide with a 70-yard run, then added scoring runs of 6, 10, and 11 yards.
Statesboro, 2-1, visits Savannah High next Friday.

TWIN CITY, Ga. - Gary Handsom, a 6-foot, 190-pound sophomore tailback, scored three touchdowns to lead Emanuel County Institute's Bulldogs to victory over McIntosh County Academy.
Handsom had 108 of his 120 yards (on 20 carries) in the first half as ECI pushed its record to 3-0.
The ECI defense held McIntosh to four first downs and 33 yards rushing.

Warhorses stunned by Midland Valley
GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Midland Valley's Mikal Jones galloped 73 yards for a second-quarter touchdown and the Mustangs' defense shut out Barnwell in a 7-0 upset Friday night.
The Mustangs evened their record at 2-2 while handing the Warhorses their first loss in four starts.

Dugar, defense spark Thurmond to
75-0 win over Hillcrest
DALZELL, S.C. - Dameon Dugar scored three touchdowns among his 13 carries for 206 yards to spark Strom Thurmond's Rebels to a 75-0 blitz of Hillcrest on Friday night.
The Rebel juggernaut grabbed a 35-0 first-quarter lead and turned the game into a laugher.
The defense got into the scoring act when Shelvin Moton and Chancey Gilchrist returning fumbles for touchdowns, twice in the latter's case.
The Rebels will play host to Saluda's Tigers, 27-7 losers to Batesburg-Leesville, next Friday.

WILLISTON, S.C. - Williston-Elko led Ruffin 14-0 at halftime, then exploded for 18 more points in the last quarter en route to victory on Friday.
Alex Bryant had 13 carries for 55 yards and one touchdown on a 52-yard punt return as The Blue Devils improved to 3-1.
Keith Williams had three receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown, while the Blue Devil defebse held Ruffin to 135 yards of total offense. Nick Smalls ran back an interception for a touchdown and Jeffrey Toney also intercepted a pass.
