Mrs. Edna Clark

MIDVILLE, Ga. - Peebles- Curry-Durden Mortuary announces the death of Edna Ruth C. Clark, age 92, of Midville, on Monday, December 3, 2001, at the Jefferson County Hospital, after an extended illness. Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be Wednesday, December 5, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Midville Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Clark and Rev. Jerry Byrd officiating. Interment will be in the Midville City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Morris Green, Harry Whitehead, Mutt Kennedy, George Holloway, Jessie Burke and Charles Sigmon. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Clark was a native of Jefferson County, and was a member of Midville Baptist Church, and a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Helen C. Kennedy of Midville; three sons, Lamar Clark, Otsego, Mich., Jimmy Clark of Swainsboro and Jerry Clark of Waynesboro; three sisters, Frances and Martha Clark, both of Wrens, and Katie Rabun of Augusta; one brother, Thomas H. Clark of Selena, Utah. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Edna Ruth C. Clark of Midville.
