EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. Floyd Earl Nelson, 88, of Nicholson Street, died Sunday, December 2, 2001, at Edgefield Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2001, graveside at Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Steve Chrisco officiating. Mr. Nelson was a native of Edgefield County and Ret. from U.S. Navy where he served in WWII and the Korean War. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Helen Q. Hallman, Florida; one stepson, Donald Quarles, Edgefield; one sister, Ruth N. Moore, Greenwood; four grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Odie White Quarles Nelson. Family is at the home on Nicholson Street. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
