Mr. Wayne McCrimmon

LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Robert Wayne McCrimmon, 73, of Washington Street, died Monday, December 3, 2001, at University Hospital, Augusta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton, with military honors. Interment will be held in the Milledgeville Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Mr. McCrimmon was born in Lincoln County on May 2, 1928, the son of the late George Robert McCrimmon and late Kathleen Cullars McCrimmon. He had served during WWII, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam in the Merchant Marines, U.S. Air Force, and retired from the U.S. Army. He was Presbyterian. Also, he was a member of American Legion #194, Lincolnton and the Rural Letter Carriers Association. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marguerite Coffield. Survivors are his wife, Kathy Resch McCrimmon; daughters, Mrs. William T. (Doris) M. Huber, Long Island, N.Y., and Mrs. Paul J. (Missy) M. Jennings of Parker, Col.; brother, John Cullars McCrimmon, Lincolnton; sister, Catherine M. Elam, West Columbia, S.C.; grandson, John William Jennings II. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincolnton Presbyterian Church, Lincolnton, Ga. 30817. Friends may call at the residence or Beggs Funeral Home, 200 May Ave., Lincolonton, Ga. 30817.
