WHO: On-air personality for Wake up with Wendi, 8 a.m. Saturdays on WAAW-FM (94.7)

THE SHOW: Ms. Stroud has returned after a two-year hiatus with a new morning show to cover issues ranging from women's heath to the economy.

HER STORY: "I was listening to the radio and I heard a young lady co-hosting and I said I could do that. I had a desire to just go for it." Two years ago, she walked into the radio station and asked for a job. A few days later, she was on the air.

HER MINISTRY: The Brooklyn, N.Y., native is a minister at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

QUOTE: "God revealed to me a calling in women's ministry. Through radio broadcasting, I was able to build my ministry. It's more than just a show to me."
