I believe what Rep. Paul Broun was referring to was remarks Mr. Obama made in a speech that can be found on the Web: "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we`ve set. We`ve got to have a civilian national security force that`s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
Shouldn't the editors have investigated the initial remark to see exactly what Rep. Broun was referring to and what Mr. Obama`s intent was?
My question would be why do we need a national security force that is as powerful and as well-funded as the military? Don`t know about you, but if true, that should set off all sorts of alarm bells.
