"Hitler" comments were outrageous
Letter to the Editor
Friday, November 14, 2008

I am outraged by Rep Broun's remarks comparing President-elect Obama to Hitler. I am ashamed that Rep Broun is my representative from the tenth district. We need intelligent leadership in our country at this time of economic crisis, not hateful divisiveness from Paul Broun. As Americans we can do better. Name calling and comparing our president-elect to a Marxist dictator is polarizing when we need unity and accomplishes nothing.

It is embarrassing for Georgians of the tenth district to have Paul Broun as our representative. He was supported in his runoff for office because it was felt that he was above such partisan mud slinging and redneck mentality.

Many are outraged and disappointed that Rep. Broun would make such irresponsible remarks. Rep. Broun needs to publicly apologize for these vile comments and we need to vote him and those who think like him out of office!
