Rep. Broun insults our intelligence
Letter to the Editor
Friday, November 14, 2008

I am absolutely outraged and horrified by the comments of Rep. Paul Broun regarding our new president elect. Of course he meant to compare him to Hitler and to claim anything less is disingenious and an insult to our intelligence.

The Republican party has thrived on creating fear for the last eight years. Did last week's election not prove to them that Americans are sick of it? Where was Rep. Broun's voice when "his" president was torturing people and violating our constitution?

It's time to quit fear-mongering and get to work -- together. The American people want and expect it.

Even if 60% of Georgians voted for McCain, the election is over and there is simply too much work to be done to waste time with this kind of nonsense.

Two years is not that long before we have another chance to vote "Broun the Clown" out of office. In the meantime, he needs to quit embarrassing Georgia and start working with our new president to fix the mess George Bush is leaving us.
