MACON, Ga. - Mrs. Sallie Davis Bryson, of Macon, died Saturday, November 05, 2005 at Northside Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of May and Smith Funeral Directors Sandersville, with burial in the Davisboro City Cemetery. Rev N. L. "Blackie" Bellury will officiate. Pallbearers will be Angeli Brooks, Lorick Brooks, Jr., Byron Brooks, Dennis Davis, James Davis, Casey Piper and Josh Davis. Mrs. Bryson was a native of Washington County the daughter of the late Lewis Davis and the late Annie Lou Watkins Davis Brown. She was a long time resident of Macon where she was retired from C & S Bank and was a member of the Cherokee Heights Baptist Church. Her husband William Freeman Bryson and sisters Mary Lou Grey and Jessie Mae James all predecease Mrs. Bryson. Survivors are her sons, Jimmie Leroy Bryson (Rose) of the Philippines and William F. "Bill" Bryson Jr. of Chula Vista CA; her grandchildren, Kellie Carr, William Kea' Bryson, Francesca Bryson, and Ivan Bryson; her sister, Virginia Davis Brooks (Lorick) of North Augusta, SC; her brother, Roy F. Davis (Ann) of Macon and two nieces and five nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service at May and Smith Funeral Directors.
