Amendment One: 79 percent yes, 21 percent no.

The amendment would make it illegal for anyone who has defaulted on their taxes to run for public office without paying.

Amendment Two: 46 percent yes, 54 percent no. This is for a tax credit to encourage developers to build modestly priced housing in small towns and inner cities.

Amendment Three: 61 percent yes, 39 percent no.

This amendment would let local governments give community redevelopment tax incentives to fix blighted homes or lots.

Amendment Four: 69 percent yes, 31 percent no. This lets the government raise taxes on properties where hazardous-waste spills have not been cleaned up by the owner.

Amendment Five: 43 percent yes, 57 percent no. This amendment would lower the tax rate on dock facilities used to process seafood.

Amendment Six: 71 percent yes, 29 percent no. This will allow special license plates to be sold benefiting the spaying and neutering of stray cats and dogs.

Referendum A: 79 percent yes, 20 percent no.

State law gives residents 62 and older who earn less than $10,000 a year a $10,000 exemption on school property taxes. This will change the formula so that retirement income of residents 62 and older won't be counted in the exemption.

Referendum B: 83 percent yes, 17 percent no. This referendum would exempt the family of anyone killed during war from certain taxes.

Referendum C: 45 percent yes, 55 percent no. This will give a tax exemption to two historic buildings in Georgia.

Referendum D: 34 percent yes, 66 percent no. This would make commercial fishing vessels whose primary use is to catch seafood tax exempt.

Referendum E: 73 percent yes, 27 percent no. The tax break on personal items such as motor homes and speedboats would be increased from $500 to $7,500.
