Georgia's Congressional District 12 has John Stone running against the incumbent, John Barrow. Voting for Stone, a remarkable man, will be a benefit for this district. Consider:
Barrow jeopardized the safety of his constituents by voting against legislation which provided liability shields for U.S. telecom companies that helped track terrorists. He doubled gas costs for constituents by voting against lower gas prices and U.S. energy independence; then he took off for vacation.
He voted to give Georgia PeachCare to illegals and paid for campaign literature with tax dollars. Barrow also voted against adjusting the alternative minimum tax and for a minimum wage increase that will cost Georgia jobs.
He snubbed Georgia Southern, Savannah State University and Georgia College and State University while spending $20.9 million in earmarks.
Stone supports these institutions of higher learning. He wants a moratorium on gas taxes and to begin drilling and building new refineries while expanding nuclear and solar power facilities. He seeks to eliminate earmarks, win the war on terror, repeal the $700 billion bailout and to enforce border patrol with no amnesty or benefits for illegals.
Stone is against NAFTA and the death tax, but he supports the Fair Tax and Second Amendment rights. His vision is to have an interstate light rail system between Augusta, Savannah, Milledgeville, Macon and Columbus to improve transportation and stimulate the economy.
Stone is the candidate to shore up the 12th District with fortitude.
