We need national health insurance
Letter to the Editor
Saturday, November 01, 2008

The United States has the highest health spending in the world. Americans spend more money for less coverage and care because we are the only country to allow for-profit insurance companies to be the middleman in our health system.

Yet, there is a solution to our health-care crisis, called "The U.S. National Health Insurance Act" (HR676). It's a single-payer public program that would save more than $350 billion per year, enough new money to provide health benefits for all.

Every American needs health-care coverage. So I'm asking you to join up with the campaign for HR676 and national health insurance at www.sickocure.org. Help win national health insurance for everyone.
