LAST WEEK: The President of the Junior Class showed off his leadership skills by running his team to a 25-14 region win against Westside. He had the best rushing game of his prep career with 12 carries for 209 yards and two touchdowns. Moore, a member of the National Youth Leadership Team, broke free for runs of 21, 36, 41 and 80 yards.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "He made some clutch runs. He kept us in the game when we were kind of reeling a little bit. He's a good kid. There's really nothing but upside about him. He's got a good combination of hands and speed. He's made some clutch plays this year. ... That's even though he's been a walking infirmary. He's got his nicks with a shoulder and other stuff but he still guts it out. That's what I admire about him this year. He's showed a lot of guts and a lot of toughness."

MOORE ON HIS GAME: "My coaches told me all week to not get brought down by one man. They wanted to see heart. My offensive line sprung me by blocking well and I gave good effort to try and break tackles. .. I may get injured a little bit or hurt but coach Lackey tells us to play through the nick-nack pains for the pride we have for Laney. You play through the little hurts if you have any pride about yourself and your team. There's a difference between being hurt and being injured."
